Please consider making a bequest, as a gift to The Joslyn Center through your will or trust. This is an important way to express your values, to support a worthlwhile organization, and to leave a legacy for those who follow you.
- Charitable gifts made through your will are 100% deductible for estate tax purposes.
- A charitable bequest may place your estate in a lower estate tax bracket.
Here is an example of how to make a specific bequest to The Joslyn Center:
"I give, devise, and bequeath (state amount) to The Joslyn Center of Rancho Bernardo, a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization, located in Rancho Bernardo, California, to be used for its general purposes."
Or you may wish to make a residual bequest of all or a portion of the remainder of your estate afeter other bequests have been distributed. Here is an example of how to make a residual bequest:
"I give, devise, and bequeath all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal to The Joslyn Center of Rancho Bernardo, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, located in Rancho Bernardo, California, to be used for its general purposes."
These are just suggestions. You should contact your financial or legal advisor to enrue you establish a gift that accomplishes your personal goals.
