RB Joslyn has a host of opportunities for volunteers, and WE WANT YOU! Just tell us where you'd like to fit in to help make a difference at the Center while you're helping yourself and making new friends:

Community Outreach

• SHOK (Seniors Helping Our Kids) - Volunteer as a tutor or classroom/library assistant
• Friendly Visitor - Spend scheduled time with homebound seniors in your community
• Play Readers Theater - Reading "actors" wanted for performances at the Joslyn Center and the community
• Speaker/Marketing - Educate and inform the community about the Center

Special Events

Join a committee for one or more of the following events to help secure sponsorships, food and beverage dontations, entertainment, logistical planning, decorations, etc.

• Stepping Out: "Walk and Roll in the Park" - Community fun walk for all ages
• A Taste of the Grape - Benefit wine tasting
• Annual Golf Classic
• Mad Hatters Tea Party
• Spring Into Fashion Luncheon

Center Activities

• Bingo - Every Friday at the Center. Coordinator, callers, verifiers, cashier and kitchen help positions
• Clerical Assistance - Regularly schedule receptionist or office assistant
• Computer Tutoring - One-on-one volunteer tutor for individual seniors
• Monthly Newsletter Assembly - Join our team of volunteers to sort, fold and prepare Center newsletter for mailing and distribution
• Social Committee - Help with planning special social programs for Center's membership
• Travel Coordinator

Becoming a Volunteer is Easy - Choose from Two Methods!

Joining RB Joslyn is simple - just download and fill out our Volunteer Application Form and fax or mail it in to us with your payment. You'll need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer in order to download the form. It's easy, secure, and free. If you don't already have Adobe Reader installed, just click on the button on the right and follow the instructions.

2. Call Us!

Just call 858-487-9324 and we'll send the form to you via mail or fax.
